How to schedule a productive work week

I would like to think I am an organised person (maybe), but in the fast-paced aesthetic in, productivity is a highly sought-after skill!

Especially when you’re just starting out in your career, maximizing your productivity can significantly impact your success and overall well-being! Trust me, chaos just doesn’t cut it!

So here’s 5 tips on how to schedule the most productive work week for you and your business!

1. The power of planning!

Ever heard the saying ‘If you fail to plan, then plan to fail’ The foundation of a productive workweek lies in effective planning! Dedicate some time at the beginning of each week

to create a work schedule, select the week’s tasks, deadlines, and allocate time slots within your week to each of these!

2. Prioritise!

Not all tasks are created equal. Rank your workload for the week in priority order, especially the time critical tasks or those that contribute to your goal! The high-priority tasks should receive the best of your attention! Work on these when you have the most time to give to them so they don’t end up being rushed or forgotten about!

3. Who doesn’t love a to-do list?

I think there’s something powerful about a to-do list! If I have a large task that I need to finish, I break it down into small to-do list so that it doesn’t look quite as daunting! For example, ‘create a social media plan’. Will be broken down into, film content, layout images, watermark content, create text for the post etc! It then gives you the satisfaction of ticking more things of your list and getting the larger task done

4. Delegate when possible!

I know this doesn’t account for everyone, but if you do have social media help, or someone to answer messages, make sure you’re delegating appropriately! I find this especially hard! I have someone who managers our clinic diary, and I will still find myself answering messages and booking people in! Totally neglecting the fact I have tasks that only I can complete! Don’t hesitate to delegate and collaborate with others!

5. Celebrate your wins!

Take time to celebrate your success and recognise what you have achieved! It’s easy to get stuck into work overdrive and not step back and watch everything that you have created! Praising your success provides great motivation to continue! Me and TNN team have recently started doing this!

Remember a productive week isn’t about working harder, it’s about working smarter!

Have a great week- go and get it!
