Topical Growth factors.. how can they help my results and revenue?

Growth factors have become another buzzword, similar to polynucleotides or wegovy! Patients are hearing about them, asking about them and wanting to purchase them! So what are growth factors and how can they help?

Growth factors are naturally occurring proteins in your body that act as messengers for communicating between cells. In the skin, they play a vital role in skin health by stimulating cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation. As we age, the body produces less growth factors, by our late 20’s most of us are producing none! (Scary right?! ) The reduction in growth factors can contribute to wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of firmness.

 Some of the most important growth factors for skin health include:

 * Epidermal growth factor (EGF): Stimulates the growth of new skin cells

 * Fibroblast growth factor (FGF): Promotes collagen production and wound healing

 * Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF): Helps to repair and regenerate damaged skin tissue

 * Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF): Improves blood flow to the skin, which helps deliver nutrients and oxygen to skin cells

So how can I combine these with my aesthetics practice? Where do I start? (It seems like a minefield I know!)

Putting it simply, one growth factor cannot do it all. So finding the right combination for patients can be tricky! However, Cellderma has made this easy for us as practitioners and for our patients! Cellderma make a miracle product called GF5, which incorporates a unique blend of 5 key factors that collectively stimulate a regenerative process in the skin. It aids and improves;

*Blood vessel supply improves

*increase the thickness of the skin

*improves the quality and quantity of collagen and other key structural proteins in the skin

GF5 is our number one selling product in the clinic (alongside youth restore which also contains growth factors!) Our patients love it as it can be used on any skin type and improves a large range of concerns including scarring,  skin trauma, skin laxity, redness and general skin health.

We incorporate GF5 in our pre and post procedure routines. Using GF5 immediately post microneedling, Neogen plasma and polynucleotides (to name a few). To help improve and enhance results but also reducing post procedure downtime. Our patients notice a huge difference to their results when adding in GF5 alongside their favourite procedures. However, this can also be used a standalone anti-ageing product as part of a home skin care routine! Can you see now why this is one of our best selling products?! We are so grateful we jumped on to the growth factor train!

If you have a questions about growth factors or implementing them in your clinic then please pop me a message.
